User's Guide

Welcome to the official guide for the Odysseus — your personal location book. This app is designed to help you save, organize, and navigate to important places with ease. Whether you’re storing favorite spots, managing recent trips, or customizing your navigation preferences, this guide will walk you through every feature.

About the App

This app helps you store, manage, and navigate to GPS-tagged contacts. You can add new locations manually, import from links, or use your phone contacts to simplify naming. The app supports Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze.

Adding a User

You can add a contact either from the All Contacts tab or directly from the detail screen of an existing contact. Tap the "+" button to begin the process and either use your current location or search for one.

Deleting a User

To delete a user, swipe to the left the contact from All Contacts list or open the contact detail screen and use the trash icon to confirm and delete the contact from the app's internal list.

Recent Trips

Every time you start navigation to a contact, it will be added to your recent trips.
To delete a recent trip, swipe left and tap delete.
You can disable storing recent trips by opening Settings and turning off the “Store recent trips” option.

Selecting a Theme

From Settings, choose between Light, Dark, or Automatic theme modes to match your system preference or personal taste.

Selecting Navigation Apps

Enable or disable which navigation apps appear when you launch directions (e.g., Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze). You can select multiple.

Default Navigation App (Siri Shortcuts)

Set your default app for Siri Shortcuts and voice commands. This app will open automatically when using phrases like “GPS me to [Contact Name]”.
